Why use tarot cards for brainstorming?

The sum of our relationship

I designed this spread in the shape of the Greek Σ (summation). It can be used to explore or take stock of any relationship, not necessarily a romantic one.

Cards 1 to 4 indicate what the relationship is based on--what forms its foundation.

Card 4 is both the last card of the first row, and the first card of the second row ("Memories"); read it as a memory that connects very strongly to the foundation of the relationship.

Cards 4 to 7 give you the opportunity to reflect on some memories (good or bad). Card 7 is read as a memory strongly connected to the present--something that still influences the relationship today.

Cards 7 to 10 describe your present situation, with Card 10 again forming the last card in this row, and the first of the fourth row ("Our dreams"). Read it as a wish both of you have for your relationship that has roots in the present.

Cards 10 to 13 describe what you wish for in your relationship.
