Reading the context: The spread
Several of my spreads are hiding inside articles. Here is one I'm digging up.
This one is also a favourite of mine when I want a quick look at where I am and what is going on.
The card positions are similar to the first six cards of the Celtic Cross, except that I don't have a "Covers me" position.
- Around me
- Below me
- Above me
- Behind me
- Before me
Read card position 4, "Above me," as a blessing or something helping you.
"Behind me" and "Before me" are recent past and immediate future, respectively.
The original article is Reading the context: How cards influence each other.
As always, if you need a brief refresher on reading tarot cards, look at my free article "How to read tarot cards: A quick guide."
You might also consider my tarot-reading course, "Reading the cards for your self."
